We urgently need foster carers and families in areas such as Dudley, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, Shropshire, Telford, Walsall. Our is to recruit local foster carers for local children.

• The requirements are that you must be at least 21 years old. 
• We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who possess kindness, a sense of humour, and a genuine interest in the well-being of children.

• We provide extensive foster carer benefits including a dedicated Supervising Social Worker, regular check-ins, assistance during meetings, and exceptional training opportunities. 
• You will also have access to a 24-hour support line, 14 days of paid respite each year, and specialised training in PACE and DDP to better understand trauma. 
• Foster carers get paid to foster and we offer a foster carer pay package of up to £500 per week per child, depending on their age. Foster carers can also work alongside their fostering role.

Salary £37,000–£40,314, with basic earnings up to £42,654 per year plus joining incentives, bonus potential and excellent benefits.

Essential Car Allowance: £840 per year

Mileage: 45p per mile mileage reimbursement
Pension scheme:  8% total – 3% employee, 5% employer
Performance bonus: £1,000 if year-end targets are met
Joining incentive: £1,000 on successfully completing 6mth probation + £1,000 after 36 months
Birthday and Festive vouchers: £150
Form F Assessment Payment: £2,000
Pay for Out of Hours: £140 per week (£1500 aprox per year)

Total basic earnings are up to £42,654 per year, with one-off joining incentive payments of £2,000 and a further £1,000 performance bonus if year-end targets are met.

New Chapters Fostercare, an Outstanding Ofsted-rated Independent Fostering Agency, is looking for a Supervising Social Worker who wants to do relationship-based social work in a supportive therapeutic setting, helping more local foster carers provide safe, nurturing homes for local children.

Based in the beautiful village of Upton Magna, near Shrewsbury, New Chapters Fostercare offers a genuinely therapeutic, relationship-focused approach to fostering. We work alongside foster carers so that children can begin a new chapter in a safe, stable and nurturing family environment.

We are now looking for a passionate and motivated Supervising Social Worker to join our warm, skilled and supportive team, where professional curiosity, reflective practice and strong relationships are valued every day.

We value our staff and support healthy boundaries. Our approach to flexible working combines regular office time with one day a week working from home, plus protected home-working time for administrative duties agreed with the Registered Manager. Here’s what you can expect:

Work–Life Balance

• One day per week working from home, plus protected time working from home to complete administrative duties in consultation with the Registered Manager.

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:

• Hold a manageable caseload of 10–12 fostering households
• Work closely with foster carers to embed therapeutic parenting in everyday practice
• Contribute to duty cover and participate in the out-of-hours rota
• Help maintain our nurturing, relationship PACE based approach
• Play a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and progress of children and young people

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do, and all staff are expected to uphold this commitment.

• A qualified Social Worker (Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Ideally two years post-qualified, with experience in childcare, fostering, or child protection
• Passionate about therapeutic practice and building meaningful relationships
• Enthusiastic, committed, and ready to be part of a supportive, high-performing team
